On November 21, 2022, the third session of the seventh council of the China Furniture Association was successfully held online. Xu Xiangnan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Light Industry Federation, Deputy Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the All China Federation of Handicraft Industry Cooperation, President of the World Furniture Federation, President of the Asian Furniture Federation, and Chairman of the China Furniture Association; Zhang Bingbing, Vice Chairman of the China Furniture Association; Secretary General of the World Furniture Federation, Vice President and Secretary General of the Asian Furniture Federation, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Furniture Association, Tu Qi, as well as over 500 Vice Chairman, Executive Director, Director, Provincial and Municipal Associations, and Industrial Cluster Government leaders from across the country attended the meeting. Xu Xiangnan, Chairman of the China Furniture Association, wrote a report on the work of the 7th Third Council of the China Furniture Association. Currently, the international situation is complex and severe, with frequent outbreaks of domestic epidemics, and economic recovery and development facing many difficulties and challenges. We must seize new opportunities in the face of risks and challenges, resolve major contradictions in complex situations, firmly do our own thing well, and turn danger into opportunity. He deeply studied and implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and played a leading role in party building; Adhere to taking multiple measures simultaneously to promote high-quality development; Adhere to reform and innovation, and promote the construction of a strong furniture country; Adhere to green ecological construction and promote sustainable development; Adhering to open cooperation and promoting common prosperity and leap, focusing on building a new pattern of high-quality industry development, sorting out the key work of the association and council over the past year, and looking forward to future development prospects. Tu Qi, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the China Furniture Association, presided over the meeting and read out the "Proposal for Adjusting the Branch Structure of the China Furniture Association", the list of newly joined enterprises, the organizational structure of three professional committees: decoration and customization, intelligent manufacturing equipment, and traditional furniture, and the list of China's top 100 light industry enterprises and the "2021 China's Top 10 Light Industry Furniture Industry" enterprises, The "2021 Excellent Product Catalogue of China Furniture Association" and the credit rating evaluation results of Chinese furniture industry enterprises have been announced.
Xu Baiming, President of Shenzhen Furniture Research and Development Institute, delivered a keynote speech titled "Current Situation and Future Analysis of the Furniture Industry", exploring the survival and development of the furniture industry in the new era from three aspects: macro background and industry status, analysis of the ten key elements of the future, and how enterprises can survive and develop. President Xu stated that enterprises should use their limited resources in the right places, not blindly try and error, and avoid repeated fluctuations and zero cycles.
